Know what AI says
about your competitors
Track competitor visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude. See which prompts they dominate, their share of voice, and where you can win.
Each competitor profile in Surva.ai surfaces seven layers of intelligence: an AI visibility trend chart, a breakdown by platform, the prompts they appear in, their brand mentions, an ads library showing their full creative history, their landing page messaging, and their website structure. Competitors can be added manually or discovered automatically when Surva.ai detects them appearing in AI responses for your tracked keywords - so you find rivals you did not know existed before they gain a material edge.

Why Track Competitor AI Visibility?
Your competitors are being recommended by AI - are you keeping up?
AI visibility is a zero-sum game at the query level. When ChatGPT answers "what's the best tool for X?", it typically recommends 3-5 brands. Every competitor in that list is taking a share of the decision-making moment that traditional analytics tools cannot see or measure. Surva.ai tracks competitor AI visibility daily across five platforms, calculates their Share of Voice as a percentage of all AI mentions in your category, and alerts you when a competitor starts appearing in prompts you currently dominate - giving you time to respond before the visibility gap widens.
The AI recommendation gap is real
When someone asks ChatGPT for a product recommendation, they trust the answer with far higher intent than a typical Google search result. If your competitor appears at position one and you are absent entirely, that is a customer lost before you even knew they were in the market. And because AI answers rarely show more than a handful of brands, the stakes for each prompt are higher than any single organic ranking.
Traditional SEO and PPC tools cannot surface these conversations. Surva.ai tracks competitor AI visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, measuring both their raw AI Visibility % (mentions divided by tracked prompts) and their Share of Voice (their mentions as a fraction of all competitor mentions) - two metrics that give you a clear picture of who is winning the AI layer.
Complete AI Competitive Intelligence
Traditional competitive analysis tools can't see what AI platforms recommend. We can.
The Surva.ai competitor list shows every tracked brand with their current AI Visibility %, best organic ranking position, active ad count, and total AI mentions. Clicking any competitor opens a seven-tab profile: an overview chart with per-platform breakdowns, an AI Visibility tab with engine-level data, a Prompts tab showing which queries they appear in, Brand Mentions, an Ads Library with full creative history (headlines, descriptions, URLs, and first/last-seen dates), a Messaging tab with landing page content analysis, and a Website tab with structural analysis. Competitors not yet in your list can also be auto-discovered when Surva.ai detects new domains appearing in your tracked prompts.

What You'll Discover About Your Competitors
Deep insights into how AI platforms perceive and recommend your competition.
Reading a competitor's website tells you what they want you to think. Reading what AI platforms say about them tells you what the market actually believes. Surva.ai captures both: the full text of AI responses mentioning each competitor (so you see their perceived strengths and weaknesses in AI's own words), and the messaging from their own landing pages extracted by Surva.ai's content crawler. Seeing these two views side by side reveals gaps between how a competitor positions themselves and how AI actually frames them.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is AI competitor intelligence?
AI competitor intelligence tracks how competing brands appear in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. It goes beyond tracking which competitors exist in your market - it measures the specific prompts they appear in, their Share of Voice as a percentage of all AI mentions in your category, their per-platform visibility trends over time, and the exact language AI uses to describe them. Surva.ai also surfaces each competitor's ad creative history and their landing page messaging, giving you a unified view of both their AI presence and their owned marketing strategy in a single profile.
How do you track competitor AI visibility?
Surva.ai queries ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews with the keywords and prompts you are tracking. Every brand name appearing in the responses is extracted and matched against your competitor list. For each competitor, Surva.ai calculates an AI Visibility % (how many of your tracked prompts they appear in, expressed as a percentage) and a Share of Voice (their total mentions divided by the total mentions across all competitors). Both metrics are updated daily and stored as historical snapshots so you can see trend lines over 30 days or 3 months. Auto-discovery is also on by default: when Surva.ai finds a domain in AI responses that is not in your competitor list, it surfaces it automatically as a candidate to track.
How many competitors can I track?
You can track any competitor by domain name. The number of competitors depends on your plan - our starter plans include 5 competitors, while higher tiers include unlimited competitor tracking.
Can I see prompts where competitors appear but I don't?
Yes. The gap analysis view surfaces every prompt where at least one tracked competitor appears but your brand does not. Gaps are shown with the competitor's visibility percentage and the AI engine breakdown, so you can prioritize by impact - a prompt where a competitor appears in 4 out of 5 platforms is a more urgent gap than one where they appear in only 1. The Prompts tab on each competitor's detail page also shows every query they appear in, which you can filter to show only prompts you are not tracking yet - useful for discovering net-new prompt opportunities based on what is already working for a competitor.
How often is competitor data updated?
Competitor AI visibility data is refreshed daily. The scheduled jobs run each morning and process all tracked prompts against all five AI platforms, updating each competitor's visibility count, Share of Voice, and prompt-level breakdown. Changes are visible in your dashboard the same day they occur. Daily digest alerts (delivered via email each morning) include a summary of significant competitor visibility changes from the previous 24 hours. The competitor list also shows a refresh button for each competitor that triggers an immediate on-demand update if you want current data outside the daily schedule.
Can I see what content helps competitors get cited?
Yes. When an AI response cites a competitor URL, Surva.ai records that URL alongside the response text and the prompt that triggered it. The Ads Library tab on each competitor profile (available on Growth and Business plans) shows every ad they have run, with headlines, descriptions, final URLs, and first/last-seen dates - so you can see the messaging they invest paid budget behind. The Messaging tab extracts key themes, value propositions, and CTAs from their landing pages via a content crawler. Together, the citations, ads, and landing page data give you a complete picture of what a competitor says, what they pay to say, and what AI ultimately echoes back about them.
