A. Customer (Account Holder) Data

When you sign up for Surva.ai as a business or user, we collect:

  • Billing information (via Stripe)

B. Survey Participant Data

For users who respond to surveys hosted by our customers:

  • Embedded Surveys:
    • Name and email fields are optional and configured by the survey creator.
    • IP addresses may be collected only if enabled by the customer.
  • Email Surveys:
    • Name and email addresses are collected as they are tied to the recipient list uploaded by our customer.
    • Survey responses are associated with the recipient unless anonymized by the customer.

C. Automatically Collected Data

When using our Services, we may automatically collect:

  • Browser type
  • Device information
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited
  • Timestamps
  • IP addresses (only if enabled)

This information helps us improve our platform, maintain security, and analyze aggregate trends.

3. How We Use Your Information

Use of Google Workspace APIs:If you choose to connect your Google account or authorize access via Google Workspace APIs, we only use that access to deliver core app functionality. We do not use any data obtained from Google APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share information with:

  • Service providers: such as hosting (AWS), analytics, payment processors (Stripe), and customer support tools — only to perform services on our behalf.

Survey creators control:

  • Whether to collect names, emails, or IP addresses from respondents
  • Whether surveys are anonymized or not

Survey participants should contact the survey creator directly for requests related to their responses.

7. Security

We take data protection seriously and use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including:

  • Hosting on secure infrastructure (AWS)
  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
  • Regular monitoring and access controls

8. International Users & GDPR

Surva.ai acts as a data processor for survey participants and a data controller for account holders. Data processing agreements (DPAs) are available upon request.
